The local Women’s Ministries is a part of the larger women’s work of the denomination. We are a member of Second Presbyterian which holds an annual meeting in one of the area churches. Locally we have two circles (or Bible Study groups) which meet monthly for study and fellowship. The Flora Halliday Bible Study Group meets at 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. The Business Women’s Circle meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. Both study groups meet at the church.

Our local Women’s Ministries is coordinated by a Women’s Council which meets quarterly to plan special activities for our women. Presently we hold salad suppers during the months of March, September, and November, a time in which the women can enjoy fellowship around the table and hear a woman from the area share her faith story. The women support a Pakistani girl in the ARP boarding school in Sahiwal and contribute finanacially to a number of community and denominational ministries. Several other activities are made available to the women of YMARP: “Just Desserts” in February, supper and Bible study “on the run” in March, and a retreat in June.

All of our women are invited to participate in these various and sundry activities.
