WE BELIEVE:
The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church shares the basic beliefs common to most other
Protestant Churches. All true believers are recognized as part of Christ’s Universal Church, and our
denomination cooperates with other Christians and their churches in advancing the Kingdom of
God on earth. The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church holds to the Westminster Standards, emphasizing the following:
- God is the Creator and Sovereign Ruler of the universe.
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Savior and Lord of all.
- The Holy Spirit is the enabler for the Christian life.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the only rule of faith and practice.
- Salvation is by God’s grace, a free gift to believers and not earned by merit.
- Church government is by the Presbyterian system, from which the denomination takes its
name. As outlined in the New Testament, church government is by elders and deacons, elected in a democratic manner by each congregation.
